  • Thank you, Peter. I loved the tarpology session at the FSA Roadshow

Thank you, Peter. I loved the tarpology session at the FSA Roadshow in the woods yesterday. You made it super inclusive, entertaining and challenging enough to help us all gain knowledge and skills. Thank you for the additional information, which will support our ongoing development. It is a great trainer who leaves us wanting more! As a Forest School trainer, I am always fascinated to see how other outdoor educators facilitate sessions, share knowledge and scaffold learning to develop skills. You gave enough freedom, encouragement and choice whilst quietly suggesting and asking questions that reminded and helped my 'knotting partner' and me to solve our own tarp problems. Hugely empowering.

  • I would highly recommend RedOakBushcrafts!

I would highly recommend RedOakBushcrafts! I work in outdoor education and organised a bushcraft CPD course with Peter covering topics such as fire lighting, safe tool use, crafts and putting up a shelter. Peter was extremely knowledgeable and approachable, tailoring the course to suit the needs of our work. I can't wait to put into practice the new skills I have learned and wouldn't hesitate to reach out to RedOakBushcrafts again in the future for bushcraft training or advice.

  • Having already been to and enjoyed one of Peter's workshops myself, we invited him to work with at the FSA Roadshow in Bedfordshire

Having already been to and enjoyed one of Peter's workshops myself, we invited him to work with at the FSA Roadshow in Bedfordshire. It was a very demanding day fro workshop leaders, with three back to back workshops of up to 20 people and, without exception, Peter met the needs of each any every person. Always smiling, encouraging and supportive: offering one to one instruction, and also very happy to answer bespoke queries (including my own!). I will be finding ways to ensure I work with Peter again: he is a joy to collaborate with. Thank you Peter.

  • Two days CPD Bushcraft experience - One to remember.

Two days CPD Bushcraft experience - One to remember. With Peter's help, I was able to organise a two day CPD for our team, and it was brilliant. Peter was great from start to finish. He really took the time to listen and tailor the activities to suit our teams needs. From fire lighting and shelter building to cooking over the fire, every activity was engaging, inclusive, and full of learning. The team came away feeling connected, refreshed, and inspired. A huge thank you to Peter, if only all CPD could be this good.

  • We just had our team day at Red Oak Bushcraft and the team absolutely LOVED IT!

We just had our team day at Red Oak Bushcraft and the team absolutely LOVED IT! Thank you Peter, Howard and Leo - what a brilliant day. Worked perfectly for a team of 20 people, well-paced and interesting. We learnt loads and had a right laugh. Pete provided lunch which was absolutely delicious :) Highly recommend the Red Oak Bushcraft Day experience for team days - a very memorable time!! Thanks again!

  • I booked a private Bushcraft course with Peter for a corporate team day.

I booked a private Bushcraft course with Peter for a corporate team day. There were 22 of us with various personalities, likes, dislikes and each and every person was blown away by the day.
We did fire making and camp building which was lots of fun and everything was very well organised by Peter and his team, including the communication leading up to the day.
For the competitive ones of the group there was a challenge that was offered and this was also great and well organised.
When I read a review I am looking for an answer on whether to contact the company and spend my money with them so for others wondering the same, I would say that if you are OK with being outside in the woods and you are willing to get stuck in then absolutely yes would be my answer. It is great value for money, the food was delicious, and the activities were fabulous. From all of PointWire, thank you Peter and the Team!

  • Very well organised and entertaining team build day.

Very well organised and entertaining day. The location was perfect: in secluded woods with a great camp setup.

Everything we learned was really useful and fun to do. Peter is a mine of bushcraft/forestry/outdoors stuff and is a really great educator with a good twist of humour.

We learned so much in a day and had bucket loads of fun doing it. I would definitely recommend doing any of his courses. Ours was a team building one, but felt more day a day out with friends. 5⭐️ everyday of the week.

  • A really fun way to spend some quality family time, thanks!

We went on a fantastic family bushcraft day with Red Oak Bushcrafts. It was really well paced day that the whole family (my wife & I and our 2 children aged 6 & 7) thoroughly enjoyed. The kids were never bored and stayed well engaged while we felt that we were also learning something worthwhile.

  • The brownies had a great time firelighting in the woods!

They had to use their communication and teamwork skills to enable them to light their own little fires. After the initial whole group instruction, the leaders took the time to show each group how to practice and develop their firelighting skills. It was a very informal setting but they still covered literacy and numeracy skills and also re-enforced manners from the brownies! The brownies got to toast their marshmallows at the end and sing a campfire song. Definitely be back!
